Me: Eesa? Ani money barbada (where? I need money)

 

Children: Ferengi, Ferengi, Ferengi (foreigner, foreigner, foreigner)

Me: Habasha, Habasha, Habasha (Ethiopian, Ethiopian, Ethiopian)

 

When introducing oneself: Ani hinherumne, garu abban mana I’tyopia hin barbadu. (I am not married, but I do not want/need an Ethiopian husband.)

 

When people are staring at the ferengi: Nuyi Museumi mitti.  Maalif illaltan? (We are not a museum.  Why are you looking at us?)
